One hundred fifteen news stories from various 62 media were found breaching journalist code of conduct and election code of conduct during the period from April 28 to May 11.
According to the media content oversight body, Press Council Nepal, 34 print media were found violating the election code of conduct in 66 news, while 18 online media in 25 news and five televisions and five radio each in 12 news during the monitoring period.
Chief Officer Jhabindra Bhusal said that attention of three print media, five televisions and five radios were drawn immediately for violating the election code of conduct.
The Press Council Nepal has been monitoring the media content in view of the local election and submitting the report to the Election Commission. RSS
