PM Oli Greets French, Irish Prime Ministers

Kathmandu, July 8: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday sent a congratulatory message to newly appointed Prime Minister of France Jean Castex.
In his message, the Prime Minister has expressed best wishes for the successful tenure in office to Castex, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in a statement.
Highlighting the longstanding friendship and people-to-people contacts, PM Oli stressed the need for forging strong economic partnership between the two countries. He also appreciated the French cooperation to Nepal’s socio-economic development.
Meanwhile, PM Oli sent a congratulatory message to newly appointed Prime Minister of Ireland Micheál Martin TD, and expressed happiness over the friendly bilateral relations and his willingness to working closely with Ireland for mutual interest.
He also congratulated Ireland on its recent election to the UN Security Council as a Non-Permanent member for the term 2021-2022.
In both the messages, PM Oli emphasised the importance of cooperation and solidarity among the international community to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also thanked the governments of France and Ireland for their invaluable support extended to Nepali nationals living in these countries, while assuring them of Nepal’s continued support to their nationals living in Nepal, during the difficult times.  Rising Nepal
