Dhangadhi, Feb 3: Nepali migrant workers to India who returned with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic have now started flocking back to India despite the existent risk of getting infected with the deadly virus.
The workers are moving back to India for employment due to the lack of job opportunities at home.
It is said that about 35 per cent of the total population of 2.5 million people in the Sudur Paschim Pradesh make India their destination for employment.
According to the district administration office of Kanchanpur district, in the last five months, 172,565 Nepalis have gone to India in search of jobs from the border point of Gauri Fanta and Gadda Chauki.
