KATHMANDU – Pokhara remained volatile on Friday after protestors demanding for and against unitary ethnic identity came on the streets.
Protestors demanding united Western-Nepal, present development region, and voicing staunch protest against ethnic federalism protested with large banners and boards hung on the main square-Prithvi Chowk- on Friday.
Efforts of protestors who came together at the Prithvi Chowk with bands and music have been barred to hung the One_Western Nepal near the board of Tamu Autonomous State board hung there by other protestors who have been demanding that the region be named as Tamu Autonomous State.
Heavy security forces have been deployed in the area. RSS
