Agni aircraft crashes in Jomson, killing 15

KATHMANDU – An aircraft belonging Agni Airlines crashed in the hills of Marpha VDC, of Jomsom on Monday morning killing 15 and injuring 7 passengers including the crew members.

The 7 injured have been flown to Pokhara for treatment by Simrik Air’s chopper and Tara Air’s aircraft.

21 passengers including 18 foreign tourist and 3 crew members were traveling abroad the ill fated aircraft heading to Jomsom from Pokhara confirmed sources.


Of the survivors, two are Danish citizens, three are Indian nationals and another is air hostess Roshani Haiju.


The deceased have been identified as Pilot Prabhu Sharan Pathak and Co-pilot JD Maharjan. Identity of others is not confirmed yet.
