KATHMANDU – The band called by pro-monarchial party Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal (RPP-N) on Friday crippled normal life in the capital.
The party had called on the strike to protest against ethnicity-based federalism in the new constitution.
Over 50 demonstrators have been arrested from various places in the Capital while they were vandalizing vehicles and enforcing the strike.
A dozen of vehicles including an ambulance have been vandalised by the cadres of the party at Maharajgunj and Chabahil areas, said police. The party has also demaned that the nation be declared as Hindu kingdom.
