KATHMANDU – Senior Vice-Chairman of the UCPN-Maoist Mohan Baidya and General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ have expressed strong objection to the proposal to extend the Constituent Assembly term.
Issuing a joint press statement today, the duo raised alarm at the proposal seeking the CA term extension without reaching consensus within the party.
The press statement has called the proposal ‘a conspiracy’ and suggested to find an alternative political arrangement in the country prior to May 27 deadline for statute drafting.
