KATHMANDU – Nepali Congress (NC) President Sushil Koirala has directed the party cadres to take to the streets against the government accusing the latter of pushing the country towards further instability by dissolving the Constituent Assembly (CA) unconstitutionally.
Directing the party leaders at his residence in Maharajgunj today, the NC chief urged the leaders for their effective roles to make the mass meeting of June 8 a success.
NC central member Arjun Narsingh KC told reporters that the party president urged the leaders to coordinate with other opposition parties also to conclude the mass meeting.
KC said the meeting also drew a conclusion to face the challenges created after the CA dissolution saying that the government decision to the CA dissolution has proved that the Maoists were trying to impose their decisions on others at any cost.
NC president said that the NC was forced to hit the streets as constitutional crisis was created lately by the Maoist party’s decision, according to KC.
Opposition parties have decided to organize a mass meeting on June 8 against the government saying that the government decision to announce the fresh CA elections was unconstitutional. RSS
