जेष्ठ २८ गते, २०६९ मा प्रकाशितKATHMANDU – Health condition of ailing former Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, 85, is improving but is not out of danger, according to doctors involved in his treatment at Norvic Hospital.
Organizing a news conference today, the doctors said that a pacemaker has been kept successfully after doing a surgery of the octogenarian politician. However, Thapa has been kept in ventilator.
Dr Bharat Rawat, who is involved in the treatment said the pacemaker was installed and some progresses were seen in blood pressure and pulse of heartbeat as well.
Rawat said that though Thapa’s health condition was improving it could not be taken as out of danger. “Attempts will be made to remove ventilator by this evening,” Dr Rawat said.
The former Prime Minister and Chairman of Rastriya Janashakti Party (RJP) had fallen unconscious on Saturday while attending a party meeting at the party central office.
A team of Indian specialists including Dr R R Kasliwal have been involved in Thapa’s treatment. The Indian doctors had just arrived in Kathmandu from India this morning to offer the international level treatment to Thapa.
Former Prime Minister Kirtinidhi Bista, Minister Hridayesh Tripathi, UML leader Bhim Rawal and leaders of different political parties reached the hospital this morning to inquire about Thapa’s health condition. RSS
