POKHARA – Chairwoman of Nepal Women’s Association Dila Sangraula today said that present political deadlock was the result of lack of women in the top leadership of major political parties. “This has made the country a hostage of indecision,” Sangraula said.
Speaking at a news conference organized by the Nepal Press Union, Kaski chapter, she claimed that new constitution would have been promulgated by May 27 and country would have taken a new course provided that women politicians were given space in the leadership of major political parties.
Sangraula is likely to attend different programmes of the association in Pokhara as a part of the association’s upcoming general convention.
She said that fundamental rights of the country people were suppressed due to Constituent Assembly’s failure to promulgate new constitution. RSS
