भाद्र १६ गते, २०६९ मा प्रकाशितChief of Kathmandu District office, Chuda Mani Sharma informed informed of such preparation while speaking at the face-to-face program of Reporters Club Nepal on Friday.
During the program, presided by Club’s Vice-President Baikuntha Dhungana, CDO Sharma said that such an initiative was taken by the government after lack of base price list brought hurdles in controlling prices of daily commodities.
He claimed that some business man were creating synthetic scarcity of goods in the market to raise prices illegally.
” Once the prices are announced in the gadget, those business man and traders hiking prices and mixing inedible stuffs in consumables, will be penalised from Sunday,” announced the CDO.
Sharma informed that the traders and shopkeepers will be able to sell products with 20 percentage more than the prices enlisted in the gadget.
Responding to the latest sugar crunch in the market, he blamed that National Salt Trading Limited’s poor market management and assured that there will be no shortage of sugar in the market for the next three months at least.
As per the upcoming official price list, he informed that salt and sugar will cost Rs 15 and 80 per kg respectively.
