The alliance formation trend or to say polarizing trend in Nepal’s politics has continued. The recent parties to join this trend are some Janajati and madesh centric parties.
The Sharad Singh Bhandari led Rashtriya Samajwadi Party and Upendra Yadav led Madheshi Janadhikar Forum Nepal are all set to form an alliance by joining hands with some five Janajati centric parties.
These seven parties, which have ethnic federalism as their common objective, have decided to name their alliance as Federal Democratic Alliance.. Bhandari said that the alliance will focus on drafting a federal constitution by ending status quo.
Other parties in the alliance are Tamsaling Nepal, Nepal Rastriya Dal, Rashtriya Janamukti Party, Khumbuwan Swayat Rajya Parishad, Nepal Shanti Samaj Party, and Janamukti party.
A press conference slated for 1 pm at Thapagaun is expected to make the announcement.
