5 girls, 1 woman rescued from trafficker in Jhapa

KAKARVITTA: Five girls and a woman, who were about to be taken to Mumbai, India promising jobs, were rescued from Bhadrapur.
Acting on information given by an organisation called Sanahaat Nepal, the police raided a house at Bhanutole where the girls had been kept hostage and rescued them.
According to Sanahat Bhadrapur chief Jagat Wagle, the rescued girls are between 12 to 16 years of age whereas the sixth one is 28-year-old. They are from Dhading, Hetauda, Butwal and Sindhupalchowk.
Krishna Gurung of Prithvinagar in the district, currently living in Hetauda reportedly brought them here and was about to traffic them to India. He is suspected to be engaged in human trafficking and is in the police
