President Dr Ram Baran Yadav promulgated the Constitution of Nepal-2015 amid a special function at the Constituent Assembly (CA) hall at 5:55 pm.
The President announced that the new constitution comes into effect from today after putting his signature on the copies of the constitution authenticated by CA chairman Subash Chandra Nembang.
“I annouce before the Nepali people that the constitution endorsed by the CA and authenticated by the CA chairman comes into effect from September 20, 2015,” the President said.
