The Legislature-Parliament has suspended lawmaker Lharkyal Lama, who faces charges of amassing property earned through illegal means and corruption, from his post.
The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Thursday filed a case at the Special Court against lawmaker Lama on the charge of amassing property earned through illegal means and through graft.
Speaker Onsari Gharti informed the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament today that Lama has been suspended as per the legal provision that the lawmaker is automatically suspended from the post until the case against him was finalised. RSS
