Western countries want to block China’s economic progress: leader Bijukchhe

Chairman of Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP), Naryan Man Bijukchhe has accused the Western countries of plotting to maintain their hegemony in the world by provoking the countries of Asia against each other.
Addressing a colloquium titled Dispute over Islands in the South China Sea organised by the party’s foreign relations department here on Thursday, he urged the people to be cautious about this conspiracy of the Western countries.
“The Western countries, including the United States are trying to obstruct China’s economic progress using India, Japan and the countries of ASEAN as weapons,” Bijukchhe said.
The NWPP chairman opined that the Malabar war drill was being undertaken with the objective of jeopardising China’s dream of One Region One Road and the 21st century Silk Road projects.
Stating that China has never given trouble to the people of any country by imposing colonialism, Bijukchhe said the US was stoking the South China Sea dispute before its presidential election.
NWPP central committee member and Chief of the party’s foreign relations department, Prem Suwal and central committee members Saroj Raj Gosain and Rabindra Jyakhwa among other party leaders accused the Western countries of working to jeopardise the achievements of the Chinese revolution.
Member of the NWPP foreign relations department Surendra Raj Goswain, central president of Nepal Revolutionary Students Association Niraj Lawaju, Rajendra Chawal and others shed light on the history of the South China Sea and islands as well as on the current political situation of the country. RSS
