Two brothers killed after seasoned high tension wire snaps

Two brothers were killed when a high tension wire running over a road snapped all of a sudden releasing high voltage electric shock in Butwal today.

The two brothers identified as 10-year-old Rohit and six-year-old Rohan Chhetri were playing when the high tension wire behind Police Training Centre at Butwal Sub Metropolis – 12 gave way, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mahendra Khadka of Area Police Office, Butwal said.
The children died on the spot after receiving an electric shock from 3000 KV high impact wire of East-West Power Transmission Line, according to police. The police suspect that the wire could have snapped due to its age.
The body of the deceased brothers have been sent to Lumbini Zonal Hospital for an autopsy. RSS
