Chiefs and information officers at government offices in the district have committed to ensure rights to information (RTI) to the general public.
The officials have committed to provide information as per the acts and regulations regarding to it.
They have decided to keep separate books to enlist the applications filed and executed on RTI. They have further decided to call the meeting of the information officers under the chairmanship of chief district officer monthly.
The programme has issued a seven-point commitment regarding organizing press meet, developing information exchange programmes, and maintaining transparency, accountability among others.
Addressing a programme on Wednesday, Chief Commissioner at the National Information Commission Krishna Hari Baskota said that the government offices and other service providing agencies should provide the RTI if required.
