Sandhikharka (Arghakhanchi.Com ) – The Sandhikharka municipality in the Arghakhanchi district has begun issuing certificates to people who test negative for coronavirus in rapid diagnostic tests after locals complained that they were not accepted by society after being quarantined.
The decision, however, has been made fun of on social media.
Sandhikharka Mayor Kamal Prasad Bhusal says the decision was made considering the local situation. “It is easy for others to comment, but our reality is different here,” he states, “The neighbours do not easily accept the people who recently returned from India and were quarantined. They are stigmatised. We have decided to issued certificates so as to avoid such situation.”
Bhusal argues, “The action with a good intent should not have been dragged into controversy.”
The official also claims that the municipality printed the certificates at a nominal cost.
