With 273 New Cases And 2 Deaths, National COVID-19 Tally Climbs To 5,335

 Kathmandu, June 13: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 273 new COVID-19 cases.

As many as 273 people, including 247 males 36 and females were detected with the virus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr Jageshwar Gautam, Spokesperson of the Ministry.

The new cases were detected in Jhapa, Rautahat, Morang, Parsa, Bara, Bardiya, Rolpa, Parbat, Nawalparasi (West), Surkhet, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Gulmi and Rupandehi.

The virus has spread in 72 out of 77 districts.  

Meanwhile, 36 COVID-19 patients from Birgunj, Saptari, Banke and Bharatpur, all males were discharged in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus.

Also, two people who died in Birugunj on Thursday and Friday have tested positive for COVID-19.

A dead body found near Ghanta Ghar, Birgunj, approximately around 25-year old and a 5-year old boy of Nijgadh Municipality, Bara who died on Friday, while receiving treatment at Birgunj Healthcare Hospital was found to have been infected with COVID-19.

With this, the national COVID-19 tally has hit 5,335, including 913 cases of recovery and 18 death cases.   Rising Nepal
