Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, an additional 554 people have been confirmed to be infected with the corona virus (Covid-19). At the same time, the number of infected people has reached 12,309.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the virus has been found in all 77 districts of Nepal. Last time, corona infection was confirmed in 9 people including 8 women and one man in Rasuwa. Jageshwar Gautam informed.

How many added infected?

According to the ministry, five corona infections have been found in Kathmandu Valley. One woman and three men in Kathmandu and one man in Bhaktapur have been confirmed infected.

The highest number of 86 infected people has been added in Bajura. Similarly, 71 cases have been confirmed in Doti, 49 in Pyuthan, 34 in Rautahat, 31 in Dang, 30 in Mahottari, 26 in Palpa, 24 in Baitadi, 21 in Syangja, 18 in Arghakhanchi, 14 in Kailali and 13 in Achham and Salyan.

9 from Kapilvastu, 8/8 from Bajhang, Dadeldhura, Baglung, Rupandehi and Bara, 7/7 from Surkhet, Udaipur and Gulmi, 6/6 from Sarlahi and Nuwakot, 5/5 from Ilam, Syangja, Kanchanpur and Bardiya, 4 from Bara. Infection has been confirmed in 3/3 people of Dhanusha and Dhading, 2/2 people of Parsa, Morang, Doti, Nawalpur, Banke, Chitwan and Makwapur.

Similarly, one report each from Jajarkot, Parsa, Panchthar and Rolpa has come positive.

PCR test decreased

According to the ministry, 4,606 samples have been PCR tested in the last 24 hours.

Health Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal had claimed that 10,000 PCR tests would be done daily from June 30. But instead of increasing the number of tests, it has come down to 4600.

According to the ministry, the highest number of 7416 samples was tested on June 20. Since then, it has gradually decreased to 4606 on Saturday.

So far, a total of 210,876 samples have been PCR tested, according to the ministry.
