Kathmandu, Sept 12: The wide-body A-330 aircraft of Nepal Airlines has arrived in Kathmandu today after a C-check in Italy.
The plane with the call sign ‘N ALY’ was taken to Italy on June 22 for a C-check and it landed at Tribhuvan International Airport this morning after about two and half months.
Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) spokesperson Ramesh Paudel said the A-330 (Annapurna) aircraft landed in Kathmandu at 8.36 am today.
With this, the national flag-carrier is believed to provide additional services to passengers operating flights by three planes, including this one, to various long-distance international destinations, besides Japan.
NAC’s another wide-body aircraft has also been taken to Italy for a C-check.
Out of the four airbus aircraft with the national flag-carrier, only two narrow-body planes were in operation. NAC stated that international flights would be operated with three planes now, including the wide-body aircraft that landed today. (RSS)
