An Australian national, who had gone to scale Mt. Annapurna-I in Mustang and Myagdi districts, has died after falling off the mountain at an altitude of 6,000 metres, confirmed the Border Police Post at Bhurung Tatopani. Identity of the deceased is not yet known.
A team of four climbers had gone to scale the mountain four days ago. Chairman of Annapurna Area Conservation Project Management Committee Narchyang, Tej Gurung, said that other members of the team have aborted the expedition and returned after the death.
