Construction task of Pokhara Int’l Airport starts

China CAMC Engineering Company, a Chinese construction company has started construction works of the Pokhara International Airport.
The China CAMC Engineering Company has been awarded with the contract to complete the airport. 
Although the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had laid the foundation stone for the Pokhara International Airport on April 13, the constriction task had not begun due to the rainy season.
Senior engineer at Pokhara International Airport Project, Chandramani Sapkota, said that the Company would start fencing 629 ropani of land acquired for the project from September 16.
Similarly, the Company has also started constructing temporary shelters for various purposes while it had already black topped the road from main gate of the project to the airport.
A target has been set to complete the construction of the airport by July 2020. The airport is to be constructed at around Rs 21 billion loan assistance of Exim Bank of China. RSS
